None of this multiple contractors and buck passing nightmares. Here we are, to turn your kiwi backyard into a functional space for you and your family to enjoy!
Our Story
It all started approximately 10 years ago when Jason acquired Deckreation, a company specializing in premium timber construction such as covered decks, fences, retaining walls, and pergolas. Jason’s vision was simple: to create a smoother, more seamless solution for customers by covering every aspect of backyard projects.
To make that vision a reality Jason paired up with Bronson Pitman four years ago to create
JB Earthworks, providing trusted earthwork services. Finally Jason launched
Custom Tide Pools to offer bespoke concrete pool solutions designed to suit any backyard, turning every outdoor space into a personal oasis.

Today, The Backyard Collective brings together these three expert teams to deliver exceptional backyard transformations across Auckland, Taupo, Tauranga, and Rotorua. From landscaping and structures to earthworks and custom pools, we’ve got every detail covered.
